Now Hiring: Personal Assistant Jobs in Nashville — Join the Friday PA Network
Are you looking to become a personal assistant in Nashville? Whether you're re-entering the workforce, building a flexible side income, or already working as a professional PA and want additional placements, this one's for you.
If you've ever found yourself thinking I would be so good at this while helping a friend plan a move, manage a chaotic household, or finally get their calendar under control — you might be exactly who we're looking for.
At Friday Personal Assistants, we match exceptional personal assistants with busy professionals and families across the Nashville and Brentwood area. And right now, we're building out our PA network ahead of new client onboarding.
What Is Friday Personal Assistants?
Friday is a personal assistant placement company based in Nashville, Tennessee. We recruit, vet, and place skilled PAs with clients who need more than a task manager — they need someone they can genuinely trust.
Our clients are high-achieving professionals, busy families, and executives who want their lives running smoothly without having to manage every detail themselves. We handle the matching, the contracts, and the support structure. You focus on delivering great work.
All of our PAs are hired as W2 employees of Friday LLC, which means no dealing with self-employment taxes, no invoicing clients directly, and a guaranteed minimum weekly hour commitment once you're matched.
How Personal Assistant Jobs at Friday Actually Work
This isn't a traditional job posting with a single opening. Here's how the Friday PA Network model works:
Step 1: Apply and interview. You'll go through our interview process, and if it's a great fit, you'll be added to the Friday PA Network.
Step 2: Get matched. As we onboard new clients, we reach out to PAs in our network whose availability, location, and skill set are a strong match. We'll share the opportunity with you, and if the client sounds like a good fit, we'll share your candidate profile with them.
Step 3: Meet your client. If the client wants to move forward, you'll interview with them directly. If it's a mutual fit, you're placed.
Step 4: Set your schedule together. Once a client contract is in place, you and your client set a schedule that works for both of you. Clients commit to a minimum weekly hour threshold — so you're not left guessing week to week.
What Does a Personal Assistant Do at Friday?
Depending on your client placement, your work as a Friday PA may include:
Managing personal and professional calendars, including scheduling meetings, travel, appointments, and family commitments (Google Calendar is our primary tool)
Coordinating vendors — from home service providers to contractors — including sourcing, scheduling, follow-up, and project oversight
Handling personal correspondence and email management on behalf of your client
Managing household logistics: grocery orders, reservations, event planning, gift research, returns, and more
Supporting home resets and light home management — helping clients come home to a space that feels taken care of
Assisting with meal prep, including grocery sourcing and simple meal preparation based on client preferences
Tracking projects in Asana and communicating proactively to keep nothing falling through the cracks
Maintaining confidential client information with care, using 1Password for secure reference management
Logging hours accurately in Toggl
Every placement looks a little different. Some clients need heavy calendar and correspondence support. Others lean more on home management and vendor coordination. We match based on your strengths and your client's needs.
Is This the Right Role for You?
The best personal assistants don't just complete tasks — they anticipate needs, build trust, and make someone's life meaningfully easier. If that sounds like you, read on.
We're looking for candidates with:
2+ years of experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, estate manager, or in a similar client-facing role
A warm, professional communication style — you're comfortable representing someone else with grace
Strong organizational instincts — you notice what needs to happen before you're asked
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Asana, Toggl, and 1Password
High discretion and emotional intelligence — you'll be trusted with private details about people's lives and homes
Reliable transportation and willingness to work in-person in the Nashville/Brentwood area
A genuine service orientation — you're wired to make someone else's life easier, not just check boxes
Bonus points if you have:
Experience supporting high-net-worth families or C-suite executives
Home or estate management background
Vendor coordination or project management experience
Why Work as a Personal Assistant in Nashville with Friday?
Nashville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and with that growth comes an expanding base of busy professionals and families who need real, reliable support. The demand for skilled personal assistants in the Nashville and Brentwood area is genuinely high — and Friday is positioned right at the center of it.
Here's what makes working with Friday different from going it alone or working through a traditional staffing agency:
You're a W2 employee. No invoicing, no self-employment tax headaches. Friday handles payroll.
Guaranteed hours. Once matched, you're not at the mercy of a client's mood or a slow week. Clients commit to a minimum.
Flexibility on your terms. You and your client set the schedule together. This role is built for people who want meaningful, flexible work during the week — not another rigid 9-to-5.
Real support behind you. You're not a freelancer navigating client relationships alone. Friday's team is in your corner.
Who Thrives as a Personal Assistant?
In our experience, the candidates who make the best PAs tend to fall into a few categories:
The career PA. You've been doing this for years, you're excellent at it, and you want additional placements with quality clients — without the hassle of building your own client base from scratch.
The professional returning to the workforce. You have years of organizational, administrative, or household management experience and you're ready to put it to work in a flexible, meaningful way.
The natural helper. You've spent years as the "go-to" for family, friends, or in volunteer leadership roles. You're wired for service, love variety, and thrive when you're making someone else's life run smoothly.
The EA looking for something different. You've spent years as an executive assistant and you're curious about the personal side — supporting someone's whole life, not just their work calendar.
If any of these sound like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be available full-time to apply? No. We have clients who need fractional support (as few as a few hours per week) and clients who need full-time PAs. When we reach out about a placement opportunity, we'll share the details so you can decide if the hours are a fit before moving forward.
Is this a remote or in-person role? Most of our placements involve some in-person work in the Nashville and Brentwood area — home visits, vendor coordination, errands, and the like. Some tasks can be handled remotely, but this is not a fully remote position. You'll need reliable transportation.
How long does it take to get placed after I apply? It depends on client demand and how closely your availability and skill set match current needs. Some candidates are placed quickly; others may be in the network for a few weeks before the right match comes along. We'll reach out as soon as a relevant opportunity opens up.
Do I need prior personal assistant experience specifically? Relevant experience is important, but it doesn't have to be titled "personal assistant." Executive assistants, estate managers, operations coordinators, household managers, and similar roles often translate very well. We care more about your judgment, professionalism, and service orientation than a specific job title.
What does "minimum hours guaranteed" mean? Our clients sign agreements that commit them to a minimum weekly hour threshold. This means once you're matched, you have a guaranteed floor of paid hours each week — you won't be left in a situation where a client simply doesn't call.
Will I work for multiple clients? Potentially, yes — especially if you're looking for fractional work. Some PAs in our network work with multiple Friday clients. We'll discuss your ideal arrangement during the interview process.
What tools do I need to know? Our core tools are Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive), Asana for task tracking, Toggl for time logging, and 1Password for secure information management. We don't expect you to know all of these on day one, but comfort with learning new systems is a must.
Is this available in Nashville only, or also Brentwood and Franklin? We currently serve the Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin areas. As we grow, we may expand further into Williamson County and beyond.
