Are Fridays employees or independent contractors?
Employees. Your PA is your W2 employee, paid through the Friday portal. We set up payroll, you approve hours, and it runs — no cash under the table, no misclassification exposure, no paperwork to figure out on your own. Workers' comp coverage is not included. Every personal assistant or house manager is interviewed, vetted, and background checked before entering your home.
What does it cost?
Hourly rates vary by location, and you will see yours the moment you enter your ZIP at signup, before you commit to anything. Every part-time search includes a one-time $499 placement fee, which covers everything: we find people who fit your household, introduce you to our top picks, set up the first meeting, help you decide, background check the one you choose, and get your new Friday's schedule on your calendar. The fee can be split: half to start, half when your match is confirmed. From there, a $149 monthly membership covers your Friday portal, payroll setup and processing, and time tracking. The agreement runs 6 months, then goes month-to-month, and includes 1 pause week every 6 months.
How are Fridays screened?
Every personal assistant or house manager is interviewed and vetted before you see them. You review up to three profiles and interview up to two candidates, so the final choice is always yours, and the one you choose is background checked before entering your home.
Do you serve my area?
Yes — part-time and full-time support are available anywhere in the country. Tell us where you are and we'll get your search started.
What if my personal assistant or house manager is not the right fit?
Tell us. If a match isn't working within the first 90 days, we find you someone new — covered by your placement fee, no extra cost.
